SFO tram on our way to Auntie Carol’s funeral. Dad looked like a mobster in his suit & cap. It was a wonderful celebration with the Hopkins. Dad adored his big sister Carol.  Don’t wait until someone you love passes to get together. Celebrate now!

Richie was hard around the edges …sometimes I didn’t know if was serious or joking…but I respected his honesty and work ethic…he worked hard and earned everything he did…total respect for his old school ethics…

Suzie my deepest condolences 💐 to you and your family. Rich He will truly be missed. I always loved having conversation when he would come in to my job. He is the most sweetest person I’ve ever meet.

I have a couple childhood memories  to share with the family. Especially as a child, Rich was in my mind very tall and my one vivid memory was running off Canosa Street rounding the corner of 10th Street with much fear because a bunch of guys in a car were chasing me and trying to get me into their car. When I turned the corner I saw Rich standing in front of your house and I remember running to him in fear crying and he bent down and asked what was wrong. I told him some boys were chasing me in their car and tried to grab me. He took my hand and walked with me to the corner and they were gone. But I remember thinking thank God Rich was there because I truly felt fear and he helped me and made me feel safe. He even walked me to 10th and Bonita and said he would watch me walk back home. When I got home I turned up walkway and I could still see Rich watching me at the corner. I also remember getting into trouble and climbing on top of a dresser in Susie and Trisha’s room and the dresser breaking and being disciplined by Rich. He was someone you knew you better behave or he would let you know. I also remember Rose having a hot boyfriend. I think his name was Mike.  I’m not sure Rich was fond of her boyfriend? I also remember Rich as a hard worker and high energy person.  I remember he worked as a butcher and eventually became a subcontractor painter. Rich worked for and with my father growing up too. I remember they had worked on a couple projects together. Rich also painted the ceilings in my mobile home I lived in.  I could not believe how fast and what a great job he had done painting. He was definitely a  character. He used to always say, “hey buddy”, and bluntly ask questions?  So sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this difficult time.  With Love Eileen, the Bingham and Tenney family
