Ray was born in the United Kingdom on March 2, 1933, to Lena and Michael Myers. He is survived by his wife Estelle, daughter Rochelle Widmoyer and sons Antony (Erin) and David; grandchildren Joseph, Thomas, Katherine, Sofia and Marisa Myers and nieces and nephews Sharon, Lynn, Mark and Graham.
Ray is the youngest of five siblings: Sara, Geoffrey, Nat, and Josie who were raised together in a one room flat in Manor House in the Borough of Hackney, north east London. After finishing his schooling, Ray served in British Armed Forces, later working in the clothing and furniture manufacturing industries. After marrying Estelle and shortly after the birth of his first child, the three immigrated to the United States when Ray was 30, eventually settling near San Francisco, in Hayward, California where he lived until retiring to Henderson, Nevada. During the three decades in California, when he wasn't working, Ray enjoyed activities like playing softball, bowling and coaching youth soccer. He was a congregant of Temple Beth Sholom where each of his three children had a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
During his retirement, Ray enjoyed visits from his grandchildren, fixing things around the house, performing in his community's variety club and following Arsenal, his beloved English Football club.
