On January 27, 2022 many hearts were broken when Nick Muscari, Sr. (a.k.a "Hon", "Dad", or "Papa") left us to join Jesus in Heaven. Nick was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 10, 1943 to Tony and Jennie Muscari. He joined the Air Force in 1962 and moved to Las Vegas where he met the love of his life, who became his wife on August 22, 1964, and to whom he remained happily married for 57 1/2 years. His goal was to become an automobile mechanic, which he accomplished and was very successful. Nick owned several businesses over his 30 + years before he moved on to become Shop Manager/Director of Fleet Maintenance at Yellow/Checker/Star Cab Companies, and then again at Desert Cab where he worked for approximately 18 years before retiring in 2016. Somewhere along the way he became "addicted" to playing golf, then got his sons, grandsons, grandsons-in-law, great-grandsons, brother, and nephews addicted as well – many of whom wouldn’t play golf without him. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, sons Nick Jr. (Beth) & Tony (Stacey), daughter Gina, 10 grandchildren: Marc, Sean (Jenn), Amanda (Kenny), Megan (Ricky), Sara (Felix), Holly (Trevor), Joey (Nick), Ally (Jordan), Xander (ages range from 18 to 39), and our honorary granddaughter Shannon, who we met when she was 14 and liked so much we just decided to keep her (and her family); and 11 great-grandchildren: Jordynn, Brandynn, Jaelynn, Kaydan, Rylan, Lincoln, Sean III, Madelyn, Lauren, Jackson & Owen (age range from 1 to 16 years). He is also survived by his sister Kay (Joe), brothers Tony (Sue), and Matt (Dawn), and his ex-son-in-law, Marc, who, after being in the family for 39 years, he considered his 3rd son and gave him a new daughter-in-law, Rowena. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Cindy (Jim), and Sue, as well as 20 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Tony & Jennie, his brother Frank and his youngest great-granddaughter Maci (whom some family members suspect he left us to be with so he could be her favorite). He was loved by many others outside of the family who also called him "Dad" and "Papa" because he made them feel like his children and grandchildren, and many of them feel he is irreplaceable. We wholeheartedly agree.
