Michael Joseph Meeks

Michael was born on February 2, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York to Robert and Joan Meeks. Michael found his soul mate and life partner, Tina Marie Troche, and married at the age of 26 on May 19, 1990.

Michael graduated from John Dewey High School in 1983. He continued his education at Kingsborough College. His very first job at the age of 14 was at Micali Terrace in Brooklyn, New York. In August 1995, after years of different jobs, he began his 20-year career with the New York City Department of Sanitation and retired in 2015. After his retirement, Michael relocated with his family to Las Vegas.

Michael was the most amazing husband and father. His children were his whole world. He enjoyed watching his LA Rams football and Vegas Knights Hockey. He favorite hobbies were bowling and fishing. For many years he volunteered his time and coached softball and basketball at St Rita Parish in Staten Island. He had the most amazing spirit, big heart and was loved by everyone.

Michael is survived by his wife, Tina; his daughter Stephanie and his son Michael; his mother; step-mother; and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
