Michael “Doc” Lance Duconge, 59, a retired salesman of Las Vegas passed away May 14, 2013. He was born October 19, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana and had been a resident of Nevada since 1999. In 1974 he joined the Marine Corps and was deployed to Vietnam for 4 years. He was a passionate trumpet player that was known as “Doc” who performed with Earth, Wind and Fire, The Gap Band and Tower of Power. He was preceded in death by Oscar and Mary Duconge.
Michael is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Yolanda E. Duconge; daughters, Angela Duconge Moore (Lonnie), of Dallas, TX and Consuelo Duconge Morgan (Daniel) of Atlanta, GA; stepdaughters, Francesca Martinez of Charleston, SC, Rebecca Dara of Las Vegas, NV; and stepson, Ian Acuria of Las Vegas, NV; mother, Beverly Jacques; brother, Jacques Pryor of California, 9 grandchildren, Mariah, Jordan, Christina, Mia, Dylilah, Kelsey, Ben, Stella, and Ashley; and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial mass service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89117.
