Martin Anthony Vece

Martin Anthony Vece, beloved husband of 34 years to Jacqueline Vece (Krit); father of Laura Gaspastione (Anthony), Dominic Vece, Martin Vece Jr. (Elizabeth) and Samantha Buenger (Michael); beloved brother of the late Carmella (Millie) DeLaurentis, the late Katherine Barone, the late Josephine Esposito and Donald (the late Lucille) Vece. Marty was adored by his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, in-laws, friends and everyone who crossed his path. His humor, uniqueness and compassionate nature were second to none. Marty was a tender soul. For those of you who knew him, you will understand that words are really inadequate to describe him. If he were here he would say “I Did It My Way”. He definitely lived a life that was full and he traveled each and every highway – as one of his favorite songs described him to a “T”. One of Marty’s great joys was living to see the Cubs win the pennant!

Marty’s wish to see his grandson Cameron Jackson Buenger was fulfilled and he was able to bond with his precious Angel prior to his death. He loved Cameron and waited for his birth with joy. Cameron left to be with his grandfather ten days after Marty’s death and they are both watching over us.

There will be a private graveside service at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV and there will be a celebration of his life for all to pay their respects in Chicago when timing permits. Donations can be made in his name to the Michael J Fox Parkinson’s Foundation or to the American SIDS Institute.
