Lynette Marie Lekie

Lynn will be remembered by her family and friends as a wonderful and caring woman. She loved her family and friends, and her vibrant smile was contagious. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family.

At the age of 50 She earned a master’s degree in education from UNLV; spent 3 months in New Zealand as a foreign exchange student; was honored as manager of the year at Macy’s Department Store; and she retired from CCSD after over a decade in education.

In addition to continuing her education, Lynn enjoyed fishing, puzzles, playing tennis, swimming, playing soft ball, and her dogs (Sam, Biscuit and Keeley). She was raised Baptist and kept her faith throughout her life.

Lynette Lekie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, David Lekie; her three children; several grandchildren; one great grand child; several brothers and sisters; a host of nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

A memorial service for Lynette will be held Monday, December 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. Following the memorial service will be a committal service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary & Cemetery, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
