(Trey Marek)
April 13, 1967-Jan 6, 2024
We’ve lost a father, son, and brother today.
Louis William “Trey” Marek III.
Trey's talents started at a young age, as a musician and a starting Quarterback for Immaculate High School in Leavenworth KS. While playing football Trey suffered an injury to his hand that threatened his ability to play guitar, he decided to stay off the field to pursue the stage. Playing with his parents' band Lou Marek’s Rainbow Express Show, Trey traveled the country entertaining and landing in St Joe Mo to attend Missouri Western on a music scholarship. Trey stayed close to his hometown of Leavenworth KS performing in and around Kansas City in his bands that included The Rain and as the owner/operator of Scooters nightclub in Leavenworth. His success in entertainment took his mobile DJ show PAZZAZ around the Midwest and out west to Las Vegas NV where he has lived and performed for the past 20 years. A staple on the Las Vegas strip for over a decade at Harrahs carnival court as “DJ T”, Treys final act was as a table games dealer at the famed Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.
Survived by his daughter Shelbee Neeland of Leavenworth Kansas, parents Lou and Carla Marek of Las Vegas, brothers Shawn (Kim) of Lawrence KS, Mark (Michelle) and Rhett (Kelli) of Henderson NV and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Louise, his grandparents, Helen and Louis Marek Sr., and Cecelia and John Morris.
