She was born on 1-18-18 in the Philippines. She was a Las Vegas resident for over 30 years. She loved the casinos playing video poker machines rather than slot machines because she loved to make decisions as to which card to hold rather than pressing the button and letting the machine decide for her.
Libby was a homemaker and raised six children. She was happily married to Jose de la Fuente who passed away at the age of 70. She never re-married and lived with her youngest son, Joseph, until he passed away after her 90 th birthday. She is now united with her husband and youngest son in heaven. She is survived by her 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Libbby was an only child. She never worked when she was married her husband was was a good provider. After her husband died, she volunteered greeting tourists at the airport and enjoyed welcoming celebrities. She was a beauty queen in her youth. She was a very good bowler and was a champion in a senior tournament. She was a good baker, cook and artist. She loves coffee with Irish Cream Bailey's and smoked salmon belly.
Libby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, godmother and friend and everybody loves her. She was very caring and fun to be with. At age 98, her heart, mind and eyesight never deteriorated, until the pulmonary fibrosis got her and got aggressive.
Libby was a very devoted catholic and prayed all the time and all she wished for from all of us is prayers and to love each other the way she loved us.
White Doves and 50 white balloons will be released to celebrate her new life in heaven, just the way she wanted.
