After being drafted into the Army and serving 1970—71 in Viet Nam, he moved to Las Vegas in 1978 . A member of Op Engineers Local 501 he worked for 30 years at Valley Hospital, retiring in 2012 .
From his softball days, he's better known as Boomer. He also enjoyed boating, fishing and camping, but best of all was drag racing. He loved participating and watching the sport and especially loved the many friends he made at the track.
Larry was proud of and loved his family, wife Mary, sons Ryan Vosburg and Jason ( Sophia) Jenks and grandsons Tyler and Jackson Jenks . He was caring, big hearted and always ready to help a friend and many times a stranger. On his morning drives he watched over the neighborhood and checked in on friends. Larry was loved, he made our world a better place and will be missed.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother Zara Vosburg, father and step mother Deshler and May Vosburg, siblings Donald Vosburg and Linda Podesta, nephew Patrick Toller and grandson Dylan Jenks .
