Kathleen Marie Wolf passed away November 2 at age 79 in her beloved home in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Kathleen was born on June 11, 1945, in Richland, Washington, to Howard and Rosemary Sittig. Known as Kay to friends and family, she was a 1963 graduate of Richland High School and studied at Columbia Basin College. She married Gary Wolf in 1969 and shortly thereafter moved to Las Vegas, a city she loved and called home for more than 54 years. She was a loving and devoted mother who immersed herself in raising her two girls. She wore many hats…a Girl Scout troop leader, PTA president, and parent volunteer. She invested her time in various school communities and activities. After her girls were grown, she took up a career in retail with corporations including Macy’s and Kohl’s until she retired in 2020. She was an adoring grandmother who cherished spending time with her four grandchildren. Her passions included gardening, morning coffee, sewing, crossword puzzles and vacations with her family. She could always be found cheering on Bishop Gorman at home football and basketball games and attending Sunday mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
She is survived by Gary Wolf, her husband of almost 55 years, sister Susan Sittig Bean, daughters Julie Stipe and Susan Absher, five nieces and nephews, and four grandchildren. She will be remembered by her kind heart, her beautiful smile and her resilient nature. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 15, at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Drive, Las Vegas. Graveside services will begin on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 3PM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
