Joseph “Big Joe” A. Sliman, 54, a general contractor, of Henderson, NV, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014. He was born on July 4, 1959 in Detroit to Joseph J. and Jamal Sliman. He is preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Dena Grozenski. He is survived by his wife, Penny of Henderson; two sisters, Renee (Robert) Grozenski of Henderson and Rita (Marwan) Zouhrob of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI; uncle, Kenny Koury of Las Vegas; two nephews, Philip (Stephanie) Grozenski and Jacob Zouhrob; niece, Danielle Zouhrob; great-nephew, Bryson Grozenski; and his three lovable German Shepherds, Jake, Max and Lucy. We will miss him beyond words. His heart was as big as his body. His love for his wife Penny was evident in everything that he did. He was always there for his family - the lights of his life. He missed his niece Dena everyday he lived. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Visitation will be held from 3-7pm on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Funeral services will be at 10AM Friday, June 20, 2014, both at King David Memorial Chapel. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
