"JJ" was born June 15, 1982 in Tarzana, California to Arthur Frederick and Pamela Ann Heron.
Jonathan was a bachelor who lived his life to the fullest, his passion in life was his family, friends, shooting pool with the boys, hosting BBQ pool parties whenever possible for anyone and everyone to enjoy, the San Francisco 49ers, but most of all he genuinely wanted to make people happy and feel comfortable.
Jonathan loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to concerts with friends and family, had an infectious laugh, with a bright big smile that could light up any room once he walked in.
Some of Jay's hobbies included, skydiving, collecting coins, stamps, baseball and football cards, and any memorabilia associated with his beloved 49ers.
Johnny Jay worked in the hospitality for over 15 years and most notably as a bartender at a local pub down the street from his home. His love for this industry transcended into countless relationships with co-workers and his "Regulars" that would follow him to wherever his next job would take him.
Our brother was a "TRUE" Momma's Boy, went above and beyond to take care of our mother, often visiting her 2-3 times each week to bring special treats and gifts or just to spend time with his mom.
Jonathan is survived by our mother Pamela Heron of Las Vegas; brothers Dustin Bailey of Lubbock, Texas, and Eric Bailey of Las Vegas; uncle Claude Sweikata of Virginia; aunt Claudette Lavadera of New York; nieces and nephews: Daryl, Tiernan, Hunter, Carter, Ceanna, Ericaiyn, Kierstyn and Katelyn; and great-nieces Danicka and Danessa.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on September 12, 2021 at Palm Eastern Mortuary on 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A reception will immediately follow the service.
