Born and raised in Atlantic City, NJ, he was the son of Joseph Bryant. He attended Our Lady Star of the Sea, graduated from Holy Spirit High School (‘95) and followed it up with ACCC. He began his career as a Crowd Control Supervisor (CCS) opening Borgata, and was there for 12 years. He continued his career out west with Hakkasan Group and opened Stadium Swim at Circa Las Vegas.
John was a loving husband, devoted father and the definition of what it means to be a brother, the fun and crazy uncle and godfather. He was one of those people who was loved by many and respected by all. John made an impact on everyone he met and cared more about the person next to him than he did himself. He was the epitome of what it meant to be a good ‘Apple’. He loved traveling to new places with his family, being an honest Eagles fan, obsessed with Michael Myers and Star Wars and had a movie collection second to none.
Survivors include his wife Laetizia “Lee” and children Jordyn, Victoria, Gabriella, and McKinley Applegate; mother Josephine Branca, siblings: Sabrina (Robert) Alfano-Mallory, Frederick (Kara) Meyers, Kyle (Shana) Hurley and Victor Vega; uncle: Christopher (Laura) Applegate and cousins: Madyson Lewallen, Christopher Applegate, Chris Lane, uncle: Mickey (Audrey) Applegate, aunt Kathleen Brown, a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins both here in the states and abroad (France and Italy), and his CCS family: Borgata, Hakkasan and Circa.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Bryant, father-in-law Luciano Alfano: step-fathers Earl Meyers and James Branca, uncle Kenneth Brown, grandfather John W “Jack” Applegate, grandparents-in-law Giovanni and Alfonsa Laurciella and cousin Amanda Applegate.
A memorial visitation for John will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 10AM to 12PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113.
