Dear Evelyn and Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Joe was a very special person who will be missed beyond words. I will always remember the day I met the Towalski brothers at Acme Industrial.  I'm sure between he and Rich, that Polish music is playing non-stop!

On the road that all must tread, you have traveled on ahead out to the morning light, out of reach, and out of sight, but never very far away, for every night and every day on wings of memory, something brings you back to me.  Some simple and familiar thing, will start my heart remembering the times we had, the good, the bad, the days, the years, the sweet things and sad, , A time, a joke a cup of tea, something brings you back to me.

Joe,   I miss you so much.  I look for you every morning when I wake up, and throughout the day.  I know in my heart that you are safe, and free of pain, but I'm lonely without you here with me. Watch over all of us.  We all feel your presence around us, and feel comforted by it. Your American flag flew high on the 4th of July, and brought back memories of all the beautiful red, white, and blue decorations, and lights you would put up every year. they were always so outstanding. Thank you, Joe, for those special memories.  I love you.       Ev.

Happy Fathers Day Dad! Love you so much. You had the best seat in the house to see the Hawks win it again!! Also, the last time the Hawks won the cup at home, the Cubs went to the World Series...work your magic :)

Dear Joe,  I feel your presence every day your away. Andrea also felt your presence at her and Brent's 1st wedding anniversary party. I know you were there too, with your children, family and friends. The flowers I ordered, and then cancelled due to the poor communication of the order taker, was delivered by a different flower shop in West Dundee. I tried to contact that shop, however, that number had been disconnected, and I wasn't able to get flowers ordered from there.Miraculously, Joe, that was the flower shop that delivered them to Andrea from both you and I.  Cheryl made a memory book for Joe, Andrea, and Mel( NO RUSH ORDER) Andrea received it on Friday.  That was only two days after placing the order.  Andrea placed both the flowers and the book by the door for all her guests to see. I told Andrea that her dad did his magic, and had them there to let Andrea know you were present for her special day. I don't know how you did it,but it made her very happy.We all miss you very much. please continue doing your magic, sweetheart, LOVE YOU, XOXO EVELYN

I am Joe's first cousin Nancy. My father Frank (Francis) and Uncle Joe (Sr.) were
Brothers. We always lived in Florida but would make yearly trips to Chicago to see 'Busha'. I always looked forward to the trips because I was an only child and getting to hang with my older two cousins was a real treat. No one could color like Joey. He really had an artistic side. My father a musician and both Richard and Joey started off as such. I remember the two of them playing the accordion. Richard went on to make it his life's work but Joey was really the social butterfly. He took me bowling (again great at that), to bars to see Richard ( when I wasn't old enough...boy, did I feel special), but most of all, he was the BEST new age Polka dancer around and a real lady magnet! He moved to Vegas and I moved to Longboat Key and we lost touch, but then through the loss of another relative about 9 years ago, he found me and we have stayed in touch ever since. He never failed to send me my birthday card and I will always treasure that. This is such a shock. Evelyn, I wish I had had the opportunity to meet you and all the family. He did tell me how happy you made him.

Joe, just like Uncle Walley, always had a smile when i saw him, he was fun to be around.  His smile made you feel like no matter what we were about to do or where we were about to go, we were going to have a good time, and we did. When paired with Aunt Evelyn, it was even more fun, there were always smiles and laughs.  His presence was always pleasant and positive to me.  He always made you feel good when you were in his company.

Hi Joe,it Doesn't seem the same without you here, mama & I have been working very hard to plan your memorial. We've gone through probably a thousand pictures, all of which are so nice it's been difficult to choose a fraction of them, you were so photogenic. The out pouring of support from everyone has been very comforting to mama. Most of the people in Chicago found out from the Polka radio show! So it confirmed our idea from Brent to give you a Polka Celebration for your Memorial in September in Chicago. I know my dad was there to greet you along with your Mother & father, & brother Richard. I know you're smiling down on us as Mama gets all the cards people have sent. You loved sending cards to everyone for every birthday, Christmas, Anniversaries, well, all the Holidays! I remember when you told me you sent out 250 cards for Christmas, I was shocked! I don't even know 250 people! You made everyone feel special when they received their cards.I know you are cheering for the Black Hawks in Heaven, that last game when they pulled out a win in the end, I'm sure you had something to do with it! I'm doing my best to help Mama through this, & i know you & my dad are watching over her too. We miss you everyday, & love you very much. Even your "Grand Dog" Zoey Stella keeps looking for you here. Hey my Friend its Johnny your neighbor though our friendship began in such an interesting way, in almost the 10 years I have known Evelin and You I can say, with my heart that in my life I have never known anyone with as much personality and goodness in them selves as you do. Mary ,Isabella and myself are with a heavy heart since your passing, but in our eyes we truly only see that you have gone home. I will say this when it's my time to go home you will be the first person I will come to see . So I will not say Good By I will only say that I look forward to seeing My good friend again in the future . Thank for being You ! We love and Miss you !

Iâ€™ve been thinking a lot lately of our family reunions â€” those long weekends we gathered in Pulaski, Wis., or the Dells or Chicago. Those were getaways (always with polka music and dancing) that I looked forward to every year. They became something of a new tradition in our family, and tradition was a big thing for Dad. He loved celebrating our Polish heritage. Passing on those traditions was one of his great gifts to our family â€” a gift I appreciate more as I get older. There are many smaller things, too, about Dad that Iâ€™ll miss: I loved his unwavering passion for the Blackhawks, Cubs and Bears. I admired the lights and decorations he put up for every holiday. Iâ€™ll miss getting his cards on my birthday, wedding anniversary and holidays. They always came decorated with his personal touch â€” stickers on the envelope and confetti inside. Iâ€™ll miss how he called my wife â€œsweetheartâ€ when he talked to her on the phone, and how we ended every call with the same ritual: Me saying, â€œLove you,â€ and him replying, â€œLove you, too.â€ Dad, thank you for all the wisdom you shared and preserving the traditions that Iâ€™ll be trying to pass down to my kids and, someday, grandkids. I know youâ€™ll be watching over all of us. Love you.

I'm missing you everyday Dad. I have so many great memories and laughs to remember you by. I think of you everyday and i hope you know how much I will always love you. " Edelweiss" came on the radio the day you passed away and I'll always feel you were saying goodbye to  "your Melzie" through that song. I've listened to it everyday. Most of my favorite classic movies are the ones you would watch with us and I'll always feel a connection when I watch them. You were loved by so many and will be missed so much. I love you!

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Towalski, but I have heard many great and fun stories of him. I know he had to have been a great man because he has two of the most respectful and caring daughters a friend could ask for. I send my deepest condolences to the Towalski and extended family. May the support of family and friends get you through this difficult time!

Joe you will be missed.  All the pride you always took in your beautiful, loving family , to all the time you took to send all of the holiday cards and putting up decorations for every holiday. You were always a sweet and loving man to our family. Thank you so much for being a wonderul man to my  pride and joy, Luke and Samuel. My favorite memories are of all the holidays we shared together. You were always a gentleman to me and i couldn't of asked for a more nice and charming guy to hang out with and watch Chicago sports. Rest in peace brother, I love you.

My Dear Joe,   I miss you already, Joe.Not a day has gone by that I don't think of you.I am so sorry for all the pain and suffering you went through the past years.You worked so had, and were so  determined to get your strength back, and you did an amazing job.  I was so proud of you. The last few weeks you were feeling so good, that we planned a trip to visit family.However, God had another plan for you, and you had to leave us.HE must of needed you for something very important because you left me so fast. I Hope you heard me thank you for all the wonderful things we did together.....our many trips, family gatherings, the great times we had polka dancing together,all of the beautiful holiday decoration and lights you put up both outside and inside, and how disappointed you were when your health did not permit you to do that.  You brought so much joy to everyone seeing those bright colorful lights.I love so much Joe.XOXO.  When you meet up with your best friend Wally, tell him I miss and love him too.Thanks again for all those wonderful memories, that I will treasure and keep close to my heart forever. Grandpa you will always be missed.I appreciate how you were always nice and loving to me and my brother! I loved how every time I was able to see you I got to talk about sports. Some of my favorite memories I have is when we would come over hanging out, having delicious food, and watching the Chicago Cubs play. I also always got super excited when a holiday was around the corner because I knew I was in for a treat when I was coming over to the condo to see a spectacular job you did putting up lights and decorations for that specific holiday. Anyways Grandpa you will always have a special place in my heart and I hope we can reunite some day.

I just wanted to say Grandpa(Joe) has been with me all my life. He was nothing but cool and nice to me. He was always routing for the Chicago Cubs. I felt really bad when he past away. I really hope he has a wonderful time in heaven! He'll be missed by everyone he knew and loved! GO CUBS! I will miss playing cards with him! That was one of my favorite things to do with him. I always loved it when he wore that leather jacket. I loved it when I was a little kid and I would go over to Grandma and Grandpa's house, and look at all of his movies. He had so many movies, that each time I went there I would pick out a different movie to watch. But the thing i am going to miss the most, is when us as a whole family would go out to the Wisconsin Dells and Polka Dance. It's not going to be the same without him anymore, when we go out to the Wisconsin Dells :(. We are never going to forget the memory's we had with my Grandpa (Joe)

Dad, I love and miss you so very much. But I know you're with me because I constantly feel you near. I will always remember your love and will carry you with me wherever I go.  My best memories are of all of us talking and telling jokes for hours.  I will never forget the weekend of your reunion and you, Melanie, and I going to Wrigley to watch the Cubbies.  You were always the most fun to watch our Hawks, Bears, and Cubs with and the best to enjoy movies with.  I heard a new song yesterday and these lyrics express my feelings beautifully:

What I lost in you I will not replace
And I could run away, I could let them down
And I know you're gone, but still I will remember your light"

I am so very sorrry for the loss. Joe was truely a good man, and loved his family so much, and extended that warmth to me. You ll hold a special place in my heart, and are all my family. Joe's memory will live on through the wonderful memories we all made in the Wisconsin Dells, AZ., and Vegas. Warm and Happy thoughts will be had when a Blazonczyk tune is played. I was so saddened today to hear of the news of the passing of my long time friend, Joe! Many memories of good times and lots of polka dancing when we were both living in Chicago...  Heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to you, Evelyn, and all of the family and friends that were touched by Joe's kindness and love for Polish music!! May the joyful memories of times gone by bring you peace at this time of loss.  Rest in peace - but keep on dancing, Joe!!
