Jason was born on July 27, 1980 at Kaiser Permente Hospital in Bellflower, California. His parents were Eric and Dorothy. Jason was raised in Norco, California. As a young child, Jason was optimistic in his outlook. He sought out the possibilities in a given situation and looked for ways to apply his creative energies. Jason rarely calling attention to himself, but when he did speak out, his message was clearly understood by those around him.
Early on in his family relationships, Jason showed that he was a tolerant and flexible person, and he got along fairly well with everyone. He was raised with three brothers. He had two older brothers, Mike and Randy and one younger brother Keith. He was a calm and playful child who was adaptable to any situation.
As he was growing up, Jason developed into a person who enjoyed physically doing things, Jason took part in baseball, basketball and football. However, to Jason, the most fun he had was simply playing, and spending time with friends.
Those who didn’t know Jason well might not view him as being an outgoing person, those who called him their friend knew differently. Jason was reserved and sensitive, a person who never forced his opinions and values on others. Close friends knew that his kindness was unmatched, and once you became a friend of Jason’s, you understood how true a friend he could be.
A person who was sensitive to others’ feelings, and tolerant, Jason loved with no reserve, all in forever. On April 21, 2007, Jason exchanged wedding vows with his life partner Jennifer Anne Cooper at the Angel Park of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jason was exceptionally sympathetic and compassionate when it came to his daughter. These emotional bonds made him as much playmate as parent. He gave his family unconditional love and kindness, and could turn everyday events into creative play. He was always first to get on the floor and play with his daughter, nieces and nephews. Jason was blessed with one daughter, Payton.
Jason found ways to enjoy what he did for a living. He worked hard and did his best to succeed every day. His primary occupation was maintenance with Parks and Recreation for the City of Las Vegas. He was employed at Vons for 3 years, Fire Protection for 13 years and Parks and Recreation for 2 years. Jason tended to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done without imposing his will on others.
Jason enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various activities. His favorite pursuits were camping and going 4-wheeling in the desert dunes with family. He was relaxed in his approach to his leisure time because he wanted to savor the present moment.
Jason’s faith was important to him. He was recently saved as a Christian. Jason's passionate commitment to upholding his values placed him at home in his religion, where he took comfort in the company of others who believed as he did.
Because he loved the world around him, Jason enjoyed traveling and going away on vacations. It was an opportunity for him to kick back and relax, be with family and experience new things. Favorite vacations included trips to Dumont Dunes to camp and 4-wheel with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Payton; his parents Eric and Dorothy; his brothers Mike, Randy and Keith. Services were held at Palm Northwest Mortuary. Jason was laid to rest in Palm Northwest Cemetery.
Jason was a good man, a kind man, and a practical man who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being warm and deeply caring. He leaves behind him a treasury of life-long friendships and wonderful memories. Jason always had much to give and was able to make those connections in his life where his gifts were appreciated. Jason was a faithful, practical and loving person. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Jason Thomas Morrison.
