James Allen Henderson

He was born on October 1, 1946, in Charleston, South Carolina to Joseph and Ollie Henderson. He has three older brothers, Joseph Henderson Jr., Charles Henderson Sr., and Douglas Henderson, and an older sister Dorothy Willis.

James is a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving two tours. He served honorably in the Army for 23 years, achieving the rank of Master Sargent. Upon retirement, he worked another 17 years at EG&G. James never met an enemy and could become fast friends with just about anyone. He was an avid basketball and football fan. He had recently begun traveling and for the last year of his life went on many adventures.

James was a wonderful brother, husband, father, and friend. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Henderson. He is also survived by his 3 children Tracy, Jimmy, and Michael, and his granddaughters Emilee, Savannah, and Avery.

A service will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada on February 8, 2023 at 8:40 a.m.
