TSGT. JAMES FORNEY U.S. Air Force, Retired James Frederick Forney, 72, lost his battle with cancer Nov. 21, 2012, while in his home, with his family by his side. He was born June 11, 1940 and was a 40-year resident of Las Vegas. He served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War and was a retired Las Vegas Metropolitan corrections officer. He was a commander in the Civil Air Patrol. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dodie;" brother, Sam; children, James Jr., Phyllis, Barbara and Peggy; stepchildren, Edward, Vickie and Carrie; and 20 grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, with a military honor guard presentation at 4 p.m.
