Ira Robert Ellis, beloved son of Joseph and Elaine Ellis and loving father of Mark, Max, Blake and Spencer, passed away suddenly early on October 31, 2015. Ira, a creative photographic genius, known for his meticulous eye for detail lived his life with a joyful passion for all forms of the arts, music, photography and the written word. An avid Scrabble, Words with Friends and crossword puzzle lover, Ira was always up for a challenging game whether with a local club or online with his vast, worldwide network of game players. Ira, an award winning Certified Craftsman Photographer with the Professional Photographers of America, was a teacher and mentor to many in the photographic world. Over the span of his career, Ira created many lasting family heirlooms, capturing photographic memories that will be treasured for many generations. Ira was a firm believer that you don't remember when you were born, and you won’t remember when you die, it is what is in between that is what matters the most. Ira is also survived by his two former wives, Marsha Steinberger and Sandy Ellis. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow at King David Memorial Cemetery. Family requests that memorial donations be made to The Animal Foundation. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
