Helen Martinez Adams-Falls, 74, of Pahrump, Nevada, passed away on January 6, 2014. She was born on June 27, 1939 in Houston, Texas to the late Antonio G. Martinez and Lupe Lenore Martinez. She married Charles Clark Adams Jr., who she met during a two-year stint in the U.S. Navy and father of their five children. Sadly, he preceded her death when the children were very young. She went on to marry her late-in-life love, Bill Falls, also a military man of the Army. He passed away on January 9, 2009. While her children were young Helen completed a Bachelors of Arts Degree Major in English from California State University-Northridge. She had a passion for music, painting, singing, teaching bible classes, writing, and bird watching—and she had a special love for her cats. Helen combined some of these interests into a card and gift shop while she was in Ventura, California raising her kids. Helen loved to travel, whether it was in the family RV to Yosemite with the kids in tow or traveling the world with Bill. But, most of all, she will be remembered by her children and friends for her faith and the love of the Lord. She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Virginia (Mike) McGinness-Short, Allie (Dustin) Peabody, Nathaniel Adams, Benjamin (Ember) Adams, and Barrett (Christy) Adams; her seven beautiful grandchildren: Zachary and Cole McGinness, Ashley, Charles, Sage, Sterling, and Ellis Adams; and her siblings: Tony Lenore Martinez, Virginia M. McFarland, Aaron Martinez, Richard Martinez, and Pete Martinez. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 10:00am at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
