Guy Duchesne, 69, passed away Monday, April 27, 2010, after a long illness. Born Sept. 16, 1940, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, Guy settled in Las Vegas in 1960. He worked in many well-known and past landmark casinos such as The Hacienda, The Silver Slipper and finally retired from The Maxim. Guy was also a talented fine wood working craftsman, was an active member of the Bartenders Union Local 165 and donated yearly his privately grown fruits to the Salvation Army. Guy Duchesne will be sadly missed by his longtime companion and wife, Sandra; sister, Therese; children, Jean-Marc and Jean-Pierre; and three grandchildren, Sara, Zachary and Jetsun. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. A small reception will immediately follow.
