Grace Miriam (St.George) Moran, 67, passed away November 22, 2012 at her home in Las Vegas, NV. She was born December 16, 1944, in Newark, New Jersey. She was baptized at St. Joseph's Church, Newark, NJ, December 30, 1944 by Rev. S.P. McVeigh. She attended St. Anastasia Catholic Elementary School in Douglaston, NY, in 1958. She received her diploma in 1962 from Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset, NY and she also received an AA Degree in 1964 from Sacred Heart Junior College in Belmont, NC. Grace married, Thomas H.E. Moran, October 16, 1971 at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Chapel in Kings Point, New York. Grace was a librarian assistant, typist, secretary, wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. Her achievements include an Honor Character Diploma awarded to her by Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset, NV, June 1962 and a Letter of Commendation from the Naval Communications Command in Washington, D.C., 1972. In 1967, 1969, and 1971, Grace traveled through Ireland, England, Portugal, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel and Bermuda. She was a member of Catholic War Veterans of the U.S.A and Our Lady of Peace Post 1947 Auxiliary, Las Vegas, NV. Grace attended Saint Anthony of Padua, Roman Catholic Church, Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents, John F. St. George and Elizabeth C. Moore. Grace is survived by her husband, Thomas H.E. Moran, her six children, Miriam, Thomas M., Grace E., Maria, Elizabeth, Angela (Sean) Murphy and her two granddaughters, Erin and Katie Murphy. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 17 at Our Lady of Las Vegas Church, Las Vegas, NV 89107. Burial will be at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
