Frederick Dean Pope, 68, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018. He was born August 13, 1950, to Elsie and George Pope of Flint, Michigan, and was a 20-year resident of Las Vegas. Dean served in the U.S. Air Force during the second half of the Cold War, then went on to become and retire as a major airlines aircraft mechanic. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. Dean put family, friends and service before self. If you needed anything, he did everything he could to help you at his own expense. Dean is survived by his parents; George (Virginia), and Elsie Forrister; sister, Frances (Don); brother, Calvin (Dot); son, Richard (Laura); daughter, Farrah; grandchildren, Cole, Alora, and Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dean will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
