Frank Richard Scott aka “Scotty” was born on February 12th, 1926 in Brentwood, Missouri to Harry Lorenzo Scott and Mildred Adell Anderson. Both parents, grandson Terrence A. Reynolds, and Beloved Wife Nellie M. Scott preceded him in death.
Scotty was raised by his Grandmother and attended L’Ouverture Grade School. After graduating from grade school, they moved into the City of St. Louis, Missouri where he attended Sumner High School… graduating in 1943. After graduating High School, Scotty worked at the Coca Cola Plant making bottle caps during WWII. Scotty was also a veteran of WWII/Navy, unfortunately we do not know the actual dates of time served.
From 1949 to 1951 Scotty was a Lounge Singer, singing at The Cocktail Lounge of the Riviera, as well as the 20th Century Faust Club, both in St. Louis, Mo in which he was very proud of. He had many celebrity friends but was very close to comedians Red Fox, Lawanda Page (Aunt Ester on the show Sandford & Son), and famous jazz singer Ernie Andrews. We were often told of the many, many stories of their escapades. Even at 96, his mind was sharp as a tack!
Scotty moved to Los Angeles, California in 1958 and worked for his Mom Mildred Anderson-Wills and Stepdad Fred Wills as a Salesman, distributing and selling beauty supplies out of their store “Wills Beauty Supply” on Western Ave. In 1966 he started working for The Southern California Rapid Transit District (RTD) as a Bus Driver. At that time he married his first wife Margie (1966 to 1968). He met his beloved wife, our Mom Nellie in 1979 and they eloped to Las Vegas, NV in October 1979. They enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
Scotty retired from RTD in August of 1989 after working 23 years for them. Then our Mom retired in early 1990. In the summer of 1990 Scotty, Mom, Scotty’s Mom and Stepdad, and several of their close friends all moved to Las Vegas all buying homes within the same sub-division, where they all lived very comfortable lives. They had the time of their lives, traveling, going on cruises, and they continued entertaining family & friends in their new home. Scotty Dad also enjoyed having the grandkids over as they would spend several summers with them. Scotty/Mom were happily married to the day our Mom transitioned October 2017, and he has missed her dearly.
