Frank A. Gallegos passed away on January 26, 2023, in Las Vegas Nevada at the age of 86. Frank was born to Francisco and Elizada Gallegos on September 5, 1936, in Las Tablas New Mexico. He married the love of his life, Geneva, on October 29, 1955, and they were married for 67 years. They lived in Leadville and Denver, Colorado. During that time, they raised six children.
Frank is survived by his wife Geneva Gallegos; he leaves as his legacy six children: Mildred (John) Blea, Tom Gallegos, Frank (June) Gallegos, Charlotte (Jesse) Marin, Elizabeth (Tom) Marquez, and Beverly (George Ramirez) Champion; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. His children and grandchildren of three generations remember him as a loving, caring, and compassionate father/grandfather who was their pillar of strength and wisdom.
He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Elizada Gallegos, brother Mike Gallegos, sister Martha Ortiz, great grandson Jeffrey Nuñez, and grandson Rueben Lovato. Frank worked in the construction industry and operated heavy equipment. He was a member of the Operators and Engineering Union until he retired. After retiring, he enjoyed playing pool and going to Las Vegas with his wife, Geneva. They loved Las Vegas so much that they moved there, and they spent time going to the casinos and eating at the buffets. Frank will be greatly missed. His family and friends will carry him in their hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Brighter Day Christian Fellowship on February 19, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. (7021 E. 64th Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022). A reception will follow.
