In loving memory of Dorothy Arleane (Rogers) Williams, born on July 27,1947, to the late Robert B. Rogers and Rosie Lee in Cuba, Alabama. Dorothy was the only daughter among Rosie Lee's seven children and was raised to be a strong and independent individual. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert J. Rogers, Kenny Rogers, Lonnie Johnson and Great Grandson, Alan Jr. "Za'Niyah", and is survived by her brothers, Sterling Johnson, Tyrone Howard and Aaron Howard.
Dorothy's family moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she spent most of her childhood enjoying school and making lifelong friends. At the age of 13, she and her family relocated to Pasadena, California, where she crossed paths with her future husband, Dallas Lee Williams. The couple soon started a family, and Dorothy dedicated many years to raising and caring for her husband and five children. Throughout their journey, just shy of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary, they filled their lives with love and a wealth of beautiful memories.
Dorothy had a natural talent and passion for cooking, caregiving, and maintenance service. This led her to hold many fulfilling positions throughout her life, including her work at All Saints Church as their head cook for the Children Center for many years.
In 1994, Dorothy and Dallas made the decision to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they spend the remainder of their years together until her passing. While living in las Vegas, Dorothy became an active member of both her work and local community. She was deeply cherished by her family, friends, and neighbors who admired her keen intellect and wisdom. Dorothy found joy in dancing, music, and reading the Bible, which she considered her favorite book, with God as her favorite author. She also had a passion for writing poetry, playing Bingo, and trying her luck with coin slots. She cherished her writing, dedicating them all to her beloved grandchildren, whom she adored above all else.
