Sister Chapman, such a sweet, loving spirit. You will be so missed.  I really remember when our Scott died, you were there within minutes. You made it easier to face the next few days.  You gave me strength.  Whenever I think of music, I will think of you and Dale.  Rest in peace  my friend.

My sweet Aunt Donna passed away this morning. She is the mother of my twin cousin Carolyn so I spent most of my summers and vacations and a lot of weekends at her house under the care of my "other mother". She allowed us to experiment in the kitchen baking chocolate chip cookie bars that were so hard we could have paved the road with them (we really packed the brown sugar). She let me quilt on her first granddaughter's Marisa Hinton's baby blanket. She taught me how to crochet really awesome baby blankets. She was a strong and loving leader in church and in the community. I love her laugh and smile! I'm so very grateful for her and the example of the amazing strong women in my life.

Donna was a great influence in my life from my teens to my sixties. Her kindness extended to me through the years became a deep friendship and I count her as one of the beautiful women of wisdom that I have been fortunate to be mentored by. Most of all, though, was the wonderful sense of humor she maintained even in the face of hardship or sadness and the unfailing faith she exhibited through her willingness to serve wherever she was needed.
I think of her often and miss the opportunity to visit with her and feel her love.

Grandma Chapman was someone that I met at my wedding. I got to marry her Grandson! When we met it like we had known each other forever, she was a kindred spirit. Every single time we saw her she made sure she spent time/attention with each of my 6 kids. She saved little trinkets for them (rubberband bracelets, little tie tacks, she made them all hats, gave them each a stuffed animal etc.) She always had a way to make them all feel loved and special. She was so selfless, loving, and caring. While she has departed from this earth, I'm so thankful she entered into my heart forever, Until we meet again. Pepper

I think we're all missing Donna today.  Donna Chapman you're the only other person I ever called 'mom' . . . not intentionally, it just slipped out.  "Hey, Mom . . . you were awesome to know. I was so proud to work with you in Relief Society. You taught me so much. You and Debbie really stepped up and helped me at a time my own mother couldn't, and my own sisters wouldn't.  I will never forget that and how joyfully you served in everything you did.  I'm so glad that our paths crossed in this lifetime. You edified all those who knew you.  I miss you." Mary

I'll always remember Grandma for her strength of character. She had a confident nature, a friendly disposition and a quick wit. She instilled a strong work ethic and sense of teamwork in me even at a young age by making sure us kids all contributed, whether it was food preparation or doing the dishes. I liked standing next to her at the sink while she washed and I dried.  Sometimes it's the simplest things that have lasting impressions.

I always loved your mom.  She was always down to earth and practical!  I remember her saying often, "This is not a hotel for perfection but it is a hospital for sinners" I can't tell  youhow many times I have repeated that phrase.  Last time I saw her was at the San Bernardino District Conference.  I was in Big Bear and she in Victorville.  We sat together at that conference.  Many times I was at her home as I was secretary when she was Relief Society President.  She was a wonderful warmhearted lady.

Some of my favorite memories of Grandma...sitting in the backyard of their house in Victorville eating ice cream while she pointed out constellations. The Christmas decorations that she made for all of us grandchildren every year. Looking at old pictures on the projector. Signing the guest book every time we visited. Love and miss you Grandma!

I didn't know Donna long, but she became a dear friend to me at Desert Springs. I will cherish the memories with her.  She always greeted me with a smile. My prays go out to the family

Aunt Donna was a profound influence for good in my life. She was so down-to-earth in her counsel and wisdom. She was always so supportive of me.  I loved her laugh and sense of humor. I am so thankful we are a forever family!

My love, sympathy for her loss, and prayers are with all of my Chapman cousins and their families. Debbi and Mike are Angels for all the love and care they gave their parents.  They are my heroes!

I will miss her laugh.  I will miss her telling me story about our family that I never knew.  How blessed I am for being with her this past year just one on one.  We had such fun and talked and talked and talked. I am grateful to know we will be a family forever. 
Thanks for taking such good care of my sister.

As you know....she was my first "teacher" when I became a member back on May 18, 1968.....and she always strived us to keep in line....even though they were serious lessons...she always made us laugh and smile....I learned a lot...it was an honor knowing how she touched my life...I loved her as I loved my own Mom...Patsy Cortez Segal

I will always remember the sweetness of Gandma Chapmans voice.  Although I'm sad at her passing, I'm excited about her rejoining Grandpa on the other side.  I love you Grandma.

My deepest sympathies to you and yours.  I remember how she was my "second mom" during grade school.  Thanks for sharing her.
