Don J Christensen

Don J Christensen was born on September 3, 1922 at his parent's home in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died at the age of 91 on June 18, 2014 in Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by his wife, Blanche Hunsaker Cutler Christensen. He and his late wife, Zona Walburger Christensen had six children: Wayne, Eugene, Carl, Judy, Eric and Marcus, 26 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. Don was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as such served 4 full-time missions, 3 stake missions and for more than 25 years as a temple ordinance worker. His vocation was as a comptroller, owner-manager of MJ Christensen Jewelers. On the weekends, he could usually be found hiking up a mountain with the Scouts or touring the world with his family. He was full of love and fun and will be missed by all. A viewing will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Palm Mortuary, 1600 South Jones Boulevard from 5-7 pm. A second viewing will be held before the services from 9-9:30am at the LDS Chapel at Alta and Jones, 6100 W. Alta Drive. The Funeral service will start at 10am. Following the service, he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Zona at the Palm Northwest Cemetery at 6701 N. Jones Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the LDS missionary fund.
