Denise Libby Conrad unexpectedly passed away the night of Wednesday, February 27th, 2019. Deni was born on November 1st, 1950 to Jack P. & Evelyn K. Libby in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Deni moved throughout her childhood due to her father’s military career. Deni attended University of New Mexico prior to settling in Las Vegas, where she has called home for more than 35 years.
Deni was a vital member of her community, having served as the former Executive Director of HELP of Southern Nevada, assisted in opening of The Shade Tree Women’s Shelter and DISCOVERY Children’s Museum.
Not only did Deni find a career in giving back, she also volunteered endlessly through the Junior League of Las Vegas, where she was a member for over 30 years. Within the past year, Deni was honored with its Lifetime Community Achievement Award, which highlighted her passion for the community, enthusiasm for philanthropy and compassion for others.
In her retirement, Deni found her true calling which was being “Me” to her grandchildren, traveling the world, including Cuba which was a lifelong bucket list item, spending time with family, lunch club every Wednesday and spending time with her husband and pugs.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 34 years, Steve Conrad, son, Shane T. (Heather) Stine, daughter, Jennifer C. (Tony) Bailey, sister, Mari L. (Thom) Landers, and her beloved grandchildren, Dillan Thomas Stine, Chloe Evelyn Stine, Jackson Carswell Bailey and Marshal Franklin Bailey.
