February 5, 1953 – December 6, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dao Tuyet Do-Cromwell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully departed this world after a courageous 13-year battle with cancer. Born on February 5, 1953, in Chau Duc, Vietnam, to Kinh Minh Do and Tuyet Thi Le, Dao grew up surrounded by love and family. A bright and determined spirit, she graduated from a prestigious military school in 1973 and soon after embarked on her life journey as a devoted mother to her son, Michael Trinh, born on September 28, 1980.
Dao was a gifted entrepreneur and an incredibly creative soul. She began her career in Vietnam with a successful bakery in Saigon’s bustling big market, which she established to support her growing family and siblings. After migrating to Vancouver, Canada, in 1985, Dao’s entrepreneurial spirit flourished as she founded Pho Sinh Sinh, a restaurant on Kingsway, and shortly after Sandy Nails, a nail salon she ran with her sister Lan. In 1994, she met the love of her life, Blake Cromwell, and they married in 2000, sharing 24 beautiful years together. They moved to Las Vegas, where Dao’s culinary talent shone with the creation of Pho Xinh Xinh and later, a new Pho Sing Sing on South Rainbow Blvd with her siblings, a family legacy still thriving today. Dao’s boundless creativity extended to her cooking sauce, TUYET, which she developed with her son during her health battle.
Dao’s kindness, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She had an innate ability to make those around her feel cherished and welcomed, whether through her delicious cooking, her impeccable fashion sense, or her warm, radiant spirit. She leaves behind her loving husband, Blake; her son, Michael; granddaughter, Kaila; and a large, devoted family, including her many siblings, nieces, and nephews. Dao Tuyet Do was truly a light in this world, and her legacy of love, resilience, and compassion will forever inspire those she leaves behind.
A visitation for Dao will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2-4PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113, followed by a funeral service at 4PM.
