It is with great sadness that the family of MSgt Daniel Washington Hall announces his passing on May 22, 2019 at the age of 89. Dan was born on November 13, 1929 in Abbeville, South Carolina. He retired from a 26-year military career, 3 years in the Army and 23 years in the Air Force, where he served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Following retirement he continued on to work for the United States Postal Service for 15 years. On September 3, 1955, he married Clara Mae Timms. They were married for 50 years before Clara passed away in 2006. Dan loved watching Alabama football games, listening to music, and hanging out with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile, sense of humor, and kind and loving spirit. Dan is survived by his two daughters, Dianne Hatchell and Dana Hall-Harper; one son-in-law, Roger Simon; one granddaughter, Brittany Bever and her husband Josh; two sisters, Helen Howard and Doris Keever and one brother William “Bill” Hall. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; his daughter Lori Simon; and two sons-in-law, Charlie Hatchell and Larry Harper.
