Dale Richard Bannick

Dale was born March 13, 1958 to Emil and Betty (Farber) Bannick in Tyler, Minnesota. He is a 1976 graduate of Walnut Grove High School where he played Football, Basketball, sang in the choir and made his acting debut in school plays. After high school, Dale attended Mankato State and worked various jobs. In 1982, Dale joined the United States Air Force, where he began his career in Security Forces. Over the next 20 years, Dale was stationed at various bases within the United States as well as in the Philippines, Korea and is a Desert Storm veteran. He retired in 2002 and became a Contractor for the United States Air Force where he continued to work in Security, met his wife and instantly became a family man.

Dale loves spending time with family and friends, grilling on the weekends (always with a bourbon), napping in his recliner with the dog and dancing in the kitchen with his wife. He was firm but fair when it came to the kids. He is a loving, selfless man who did not like people making a fuss over him. He enjoyed making others laugh. He is great with photo shopping the heads of family, friends or colleagues onto the bodies of celebrities. Sometimes his celebrity choices would draw ire but it was all in good fun. He is really good at and enjoyed researching genealogy as a hobby. Although Dale is no longer here, we know that he is watching over us and we will hold him in our hearts forever.

Dale is survived by his wife of 18 years Heather; children: Greg (Charmagne) Echtman of Las Vegas, NV, Shane Harold of Akron, OH, and Casey Harold of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter: Yuna Echtman of Las Vegas, NV; mother: Betty of Walnut Grove, MN; siblings: Susan (Greg) Bannick-Mohrland of Las Vegas, NV, Ronald (Carol) Bannick of Walnut Grove, MN, LaDonna Albertson of Walnut Grove, MN, and Gary Bannick of Redwood Falls, MN, and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Emil Bannick.
