Christopher S. Waker, 49, of Las Vegas, a warehouse manager for T.J. Maxx, passed away unexpectedly, Sept. 20, 2013, after a brief illness. He was born in Croydon, England, and was a resident of Las Vegas since 2006. Chris became a U.S. citizen March 5, 2010. Although he left us too soon, Chris touched many lives. He was a loving husband, fantastic father, champion coach and a compassionate and respected leader. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Christine. He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Nicole and Steven; father, Michael (Pat); brother, Mark; stepbrother Jim; stepsister Christine; nephews, Erin, Duncan, Emryck; and nieces, Molly and Kayleigh. Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Burial will be private at Palm Memorial Park-Northwest.
