Christopher Alexander Wagner

Christopher Alexander Wagner, 46, was born May 11th, 1975 in North Hollywood, California to parents Rosa Maria Llanez and Raymond Wagner. His grandparents hailed from Cuba, giving him the core familial heritage and values he cherished that influenced his entire life.

Since an early age, anywhere that Chris went, it took little to no effort to connect with anyone, usually through the shared love of music, and sense of community. Having spent time in Seattle, Miami, and mostly Las Vegas, he had many friends that he acquired with his steadfast heart and loyalty. Whether it was the Maroney boys, or the various other friends that he had lifelong connections with, he made an impact on everyone that knew him.

Chris was extremely passionate about music. He enjoyed occasionally DJing for the Las Vegas community, and was a fan of deep house, and hip hop. He worked many years in the Las Vegas Nightlife Hospitality industry and met many of his lifelong friends through his work.

Chris valued all life, and would always go out of his way to help anyone that he could. He was dependable, and had a special place in his heart for animals. He could never turn a blind eye if there was some way that he could help, whether it be his family, friends, and animals.

Most importantly, Chris valued his family above all else. His strong Cuban roots made it easy for him to adapt to the Big Fat Greek Family life. He married his first and only love, Sophye, on November 17, 2002. He learned how to tango for her, and always made her laugh. Chris's favorite holiday was Halloween, and nothing made him happier than getting dressed up and taking his children trick-or-treating.

Chris was a hardworking gentle soul, and his love of Star Wars and the Mandalorian spoke volumes about his own resilience and the need to do the right thing. When he suffered from a traumatic brain injury 8 years ago, he never gave up hope. His sense of self and duty pushed him to always persevere. He had a way of taking others' pain and placing it upon himself, and making life more bearable for his loved ones with his sense of humor. Any opportunity he had to make someone smile, he'd do so with ease. He was selfless, caring, and kind.

He is survived by Sophye Politis-Wagner, his daughter Angelina Rose Wagner, and two sons Adam Politis and Christopher Wagner.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Johns Greek Orthodox Church or to his three surviving children in his name.

His memorial will be held at 5:00pm Friday, October 1st 2021 at St. Johns Greek Orthodox Church
