Charles Edward Watkins

Charles Edward Watkins, 73, passed away on March 23, 2023 at home in Las Vegas, Nevada after a brave three-year battle against Prostate Cancer. Charles was born on November 13, 1949 to Paul and Betty Watkins and was raised in Livonia, Michigan with his four siblings. He was an Army Veteran and served in Vietnam from 1969-1971, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He went on to hold a 34-year career with Ford Motor Company before retiring in 2015 after beating stage 3 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was actively involved in Veteran organizations such as The Military Order of the Purple Heart and Vets Helping Vets.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; brothers Carl and Mike; sister Joanne; daughters Jodi Bippus (Michael) , Kimberly Ross (Joshua) Kristen Zullo (Shawn) and Khali Koetting (Matthew); along with his grandchildren Charlie (7), Hunter (7), Dominick (6), Talulah (6), Kennedy (6), Sawyer (4), Delilah (4), Olivia (3), Colton (1), and Ella (9 months). Charles will be remembered for his quiet strength and loyal heart. Anyone that was lucky enough to have known him will forever feel his loss, but are blessed to have known such an incredible man.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made directly to Palmer Place of Houston Texas. Palmer Place is an amazing organization that helps patients and their families find affordable housing near treatment facilities and hospitals as they fight Cancer.
