Carol Diane White

Carol Diane White passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 83 years old. She is survived by her daughter, Laura White and her two grandsons, Alex & Aydan Ryan. Carol was born in Detroit, MI on November 29, 1940, to Ethel Lucille Huchthausen & Harvey Noel Bissonnette. She had only one sibling, her older brother, Tomas Bissonnette whom passed in 2022. Carol attended Mercy High School and upon graduating, continued her studies at the University of Detroit Mercy. She earned a degree in teaching and went on to teach within the Garden City Public School District. Once retired, she and her late husband, Bob relocated to Henderson, Nevada in 1998. Upon arriving in Henderson, Carol became a parishioner at Saint Thomas More Catholic Community (STM). She enjoyed serving at STM in a variety of ways. She taught Catechism to the younger students as well as being a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was an active member of the Couple’s Club at STM as well as dedicated member of NVG (Nevadans for the Common Good). Carol also enjoyed a variety of other activities. One most notable was performing with her tap-dancing group, “The MacTappers” of Sun City MacDonald Ranch. Everyone who knew Carol will miss her deeply but find comfort in knowing she is at peace smiling down on us from Heaven.
