Carol Ann Carney

Carol Ann Carney, 53, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 20, 2011. She was born Feb. 28, 1957, in Houston, and resided in Nevada for 14 years. Carol was married to Mark Carney April 19, 1997, in San Antonio. She moved to Las Vegas in July of 1997. Carol was the senior vice president of a local bank until 2009 achieving her AAP. Carol loved animals, rescuing several cats and dogs over the years. She was an inspiration to her family and friends. Our loss is only comforted by her place in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Gibbs. Carol is survived by her husband, Mark Carney; father, Marion Polka; brother, Kennith Polka; two children, Christopher Rimpler of Bacliff, Texas, and Kimberly Carney of Uvalde, Texas; and six grandchildren, Mark Castillo, Kane Rimpler, Kaitlin Rimpler, Caroline Rimpler, Cassandra Rimpler and Aubree Castillo. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 27, at Palm Mortuary 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Memorial/ Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 28, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Please send any donations to the Las Vegas SCPA or local animal shelter in Carol's name.
