Carol Marie Blackledge

Carol Marie Blackledge passed away on Friday, November 15, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was 70 years old. Her 71st birthday would have been November 23. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Blackledge, and her stepdaughter Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Hugh and Marie Major, her brother David, and her sister Sandra.

Carol was a wonderful wife, sister and friend. Born in Decatur, IL, she lived in the greater Las Vegas area since 2006. She had a bachelor of arts from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin and taught in elementary schools in California and Virginia. She moved to Las Vegas from California in the early 1990s, where she met her husband Bill. They got married in 1995 and moved to Mesa, AZ, where they lived for a decade before moving back to Las Vegas. Carol loved many things in life, including her family, traveling, church, singing, arts, crafts, reading, NASCAR and her cats. She will be sorely missed.

Services: There will be a visitation on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., in Scottsdale, AZ.

Burial: Burial services will be at 1:00 p.m. at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ.

Memorial: In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association.
