It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved father Carmelo Truscello, 59, on May 6, 2023. Carmen touched the lives of so many during his 43 years as a resident of Las Vegas.
Carmen is survived by his children Nichole, Michael and Nicholas Truscello; former wife Kim Brown and her son Nathan; parents Nancy and Nunzio Truscello; brother John and sister-in-law Shannon Truscello; sister Denise Truscello; nephew Jared Truscello and nieces Andrea Truscello and Emily Taylor (Jared Taylor) and great-nephew Jameson Taylor; girlfriend Kelly Wood; dog Luigi and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Carmen became a passionate sports fan, particularly the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. He was a dedicated baseball coach for many years, and his passion for the sport was evident in everything he did. He was a mentor and a role model to countless young athletes, teaching them the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Carmen had a vast and insurmountable knowledge of sports, many would even refer to him as a sports almanac.
In addition to his coaching, he was a skilled stone mason, with over 40 years of experience in his trade. He took great pride in his work and was known for his attention to detail and his commitment to excellence. His craftsmanship can be seen in many of the buildings, homes, and monuments throughout the Las Vegas area.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. We will always remember him for his unwavering love, hard work ethic, and infectious sense of humor. Carmen was a loving son, father, brother and friend and his memory will live on forever in our hearts.
The wake will be held Wednesday, May 17th from 3-7 p.m. at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, and a Mass will be held on Thursday, May 18th at noon at St. Viator, 2461 E Flamingo Rd., Las Vegas, Nevada.
