Carlton Osbey Myers, age 88, of Estancia, New Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Carl, or C.O., as he was fondly known to family and friends, was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Carl was born in Brookneal, Virginia and graduated from Margaret Brent High School in Helen, Maryland. He joined the U.S. Army in 1954 and became a qualified parachutist. Carl served as an Airborne Infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division, an experience that shaped his life. Carl moved his family from Hyattsville, Maryland to Estancia, New Mexico in 1969, where he dedicated himself to farming and family life. He was a hands-on type of man with many skills and abilities. Carl is survived by his children Lois, Mike, Dan, and Terri. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret J. Long, and parents Carlton Osbey Myers and Mary Adelle Withers.
