Betty Faye Chapman

On February 19, 2022 at 10:20 p.m. we lost a very special person in our lives when Betty Fay Chapman went to be with the Lord at the age of 72. Betty was born on October 18, 1949 in Marysville, California. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mark Chapman, her sister Joann Roper, her brother-in-law Doug Roper, her brother-in-law Gary Chapman and her nephew Donald Chapman. Betty served honorably in the United States Air Force as a Comsett Specialist for 20 years and the moved on to become a Corrections Officer at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 18 years before retiring at the age of 62. Shortly after retiring Betty began to show symptoms of dementia which progressed over the last 10 years of her life. Betty's funeral service will be on April 26 at 11:30 a.m. at Central Church at 10001 New Beginnings Drive in Henderson, Internment will follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive in Boulder City at 2 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern in Las Vegas immediately after the internment.
