Born on July 24th, 1934, to Coty and Mattie Walker, Barbara Bennette Ward, 87, finished her journey on this earth July 12, 2022. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Vesta L Ward, and her sister, Allie Mae Atkins.
As an Air Force spouse, who traveled the world with her husband Vesta, a 27-year Air Force Veteran, Barbara and Vesta shared a wonderful, fulfilling life through their 65 years of marriage. This union produced two children, Bridget and Gregory. Barbara retired as the Manager of JCPenney Catalog and Credit. She was an avid supporter of UNLV athletics and enjoyed going to football and basketball games.
She is survived by her daughter Bridget Ward-Christian (Frank, Martez), her son Gregory Ward (Mercedes, Daniel) and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
