Barbara Sue Kearney Sheehan

Barbara Sue Kearney Sheehan, 87, passed away on February 6, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on June 3, 1935 in Zanesville, Ohio. She graduated from Rosecrans High School and immediately joined the Navy as a corpsman. She met her husband, Daniel Sheehan, while stationed in Bethesda, Maryland. They married in 1956. They had five children. She used her GI bill to attend college and she graduated from UNLV in Las Vegas, NV.

She retired from the Navy reserves as a Chief Petty Officer. She was extremely proud of her service to her country. She was a devoted fan to the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Ohio State football. She was also a huge fan of NASCAR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, her parents, Michael, Juanita Foy, and her stepmother Mary. Her son Michael and daughter Maureen Sheehan. Her granddaughters, Randi and Kristin Andersen. She is survived by her daughters, Tamara “Tammy” (Todd) Severt, Barbara “Bobbie”Andersen (Rick) and Danielle “Dodie” Bennie (Dale). She is also survived by her sisters Virginia (Ginny) Shoup (Ray) and Michele Young, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2023, 10 a.m. at St Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will be at Palm Mortuary Eastern Cemetery.
