Amy was kind, creative, compassionate, an 'eternal optimist', intelligent and had a great sense of humor. A friend to all who crossed her path. Amy never turned away those in need. She took in “strays” of all kinds, animals and humans alike and ensured they were safe and loved. Amy had a dedicated heart.
Amy was a devoted wife of 38 years to Brett Grove. They adored their daughters Cassandra and Sarah.
Amy was 'a jane of all trades' but mastered all of her talents. Inspired to be closer to their daughters and home, Amy became a licensed Day Care owner and operator and offered a Respite Care Program for children with special needs. Successfully embarked simultaneously, as Operations Manager for The Nebraska Choral Arts Society. She also demonstrated her creativity as a Floral Designer. Amy made time to volunteer with Harmony Hospice here in Las Vegas, NV.
Amy was a devout dog and cat lover and had several throughout her life. Her most recent cats Ari, Stevie and Gidget, and her beloved German Shepard, Ziggy, will miss her dearly.
Amy was preceded in death by her husband Master Sergeant Brett Grove, sister and best friend, Kathleen Urgo, her parents LaVon and Edward Goor, and mother in law, June Grove, along with countless friends and loved ones.
Amy is survived by her daughters, Cassandra Grove of Las Vegas, NV and Sarah (Drew) Barkoff of Elko, NV.
Mom, your laughter, love, kindness and strength live on forever.
