Alice Roach Rapp of North Las Vegas Nevada passed away on March 6, 2017. She was born October 2, 1938 in Bakerton, Pennsylvania to Alphonse and Mary Lenyo Roach. She graduated from Indiana state college, in Indiana Pennsylvania with a degree in Music Education. She taught music for 25 years in Saegertown Pennsylvania (PENNCREST schools) and later taught Middle School Core classes for 5 years, retiring in 1990. She and her husband James Alton Rapp, moved to Las Vegas in 1991. She taught algebra and social studies for 7 years at the Hebrew Academy there. She is preceded in death by her husband in 1998 and brothers Al and Robert. A special niece Susan and her husband Tim Phanco of Myrtle Beach of South Carolina and good friend Elizabeth Miller of North Las Vegas, Nevada survive her. She loved animals and leaves behind her beloved dog Leo. She liked to write and had many non-fiction articles published. She also bowled in several leagues. She did volunteer work for the Catholic Charities in their RSVP programs. Funeral services will be held in her honor on Thursday March 23, 2017 at 10:00am that the St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Interment will be later at Arlington National Cemetery, in Washington D.C.
