Alexander Forbes

Alexander Forbes, 73, of Henderson, passed away May 21, 2012. He was born Nov. 15, 1938, in New Zealand, and was a resident of Nevada since 1965. Alexander was not only a dad, grandfather and great-grandfather, but he was a friend to all. His love and compassion for others could not be measured. His passion for life and his positive attitude made him an asset to everyone he came in contact with. Alexander will be missed on the golf course, tennis matches, church family gatherings, and most of all, we will miss him in our lives. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph; and six brothers and sisters. Alexander is survived by his wife Terre; son, Colin (Gille) Forbes; daughters, Alexa (Lance) Gale, Kelli (David) Pedersen and LaRa (Todd) Brewster; son, Dusty (Jane) Rhodes; daughter, Moana (Vincent) Windous; son, Ryan (Donelle) Forbes; daughter, Meggin (Daniel) Dolberg; sons, Tyler and Ryan Grove; 39 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Visitation again from 11 a.m.-noon Friday, May 25, with services following, both at Inspirada Ward, 875 Rich Perez Jr. Drive in Henderson. Burial following at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
