Alan Dale Bachman, age 61, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, NV passed away on August 29, 2021 at Sunrise Hospital. Alan was born on March 19, 1960 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. He found the love of his life, Mickey, at the age of 18, while attending Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, WV. They were married June 21, 1980 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Long Island.
Alan and Mickey moved to Las Vegas in 1983. He worked as a cabinet maker until he earned his Associate Degree in Nursing. Both he and Mickey served the Las Vegas community as nurses at University Medical Center and Southwest Medical for over 35 years.
Anyone that knew Alan, knew of his hobbies. He had too many to list and made sharing them with friends and family a hobby of its own. His favorites were music, especially playing his guitar, woodworking in the garage, fishing the small lakes and rivers, boating with his family, and reading and rereading his favorite novels. However, as much as he truly enjoyed his hobbies, the thing he loved the most was spending time with his family.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph L. and Lenora J. Bachman of Pickens, WV and his brother David S. Bachman of Summersville, WV. He is survived by his loving wife, Marguerite “Mickey” D. Bachman, his two daughters Kathleen “Katie” Napolitano (married to Charles), and Kristen Galleano (married to Brian), and his two sons Matthew Bachman and David Bachman. He also leaves behind five adoring grandchildren: Charles “Little Charlie”, Alyssa and Jacob “Jake” Napolitano and John “Oliver” and Lenora “Nora” Galleano. He is also survived by his sister Martha Wooten (married to Alvin), his brother Michael Bachman (married to Judy), his sister-in-law Donna Bachman and Mickey’s sister Kathleen Faust (married to Robert).
