William "Bill" A. Huebner, 93, of Seminole, Florida, passed away on October 14, 2024. Born on October 26, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, Bill spent his early years in suburban Chicago before relocating to Pinellas County, Florida, in 1974.
Bill married Joann in 1951, and they shared 66 loving years together until her passing in 2017. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Bill began his career as an engineer for the Illinois Central Railroad, later transitioning to lighting sales and management with Duro-Test Corporation. He eventually founded his own company, C & L Lighting, which he successfully operated until retirement. Known affectionately as "Light Bulb Bill," he was recognized for his exceptional sales skills and loved his extensive travels across nearly every U.S. state, particularly enjoying his time in Las Vegas at industry conventions.
An avid tennis player, Bill led a men's doubles group at Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club, where he was known for his leadership and camaraderie. His teammates often remarked, "He ran a tight ship." With a keen sense of humor and a deep loyalty to his family and friends, Bill left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Lynn and Carol (Gary). Bill's memory will be cherished by his family and friends, who will remember him for his kindness, wit, and unwavering spirit.
