Virginia S. Cline, 89, died July 14, 2020, surrounded by valiant frontline staff she lost her battle with mCOVID-19 in Pinellas Park Fl. Virginia was born on on September 1, 1930 to Roy and Mabel Sheley, in Middletown, NY. The eldest of two, Virginia leaves sister Edythe Gaylord of Syracuse, and will be laid to rest beside their mother and father in Grahamsville Rural Cemetery , NY.
Virginia was a passionate student and traveler. She received her B.A. and M.A. in Elementary Education from U.S.F. Tampa. Following the completion of her two degrees, she became a long time educator in Pinellas County. After retirement she volunteered in Africa in the Peace Corps and traveled to Japan , Mexico and Europe for study.
Virginia was a member of St Dunstan’s Anglican Church for over 30 years and enjoyed golfing and square dancing ; following her retirement, she enjoyed Being a snow bird and splitting her time amongst her grandchildren in NY and FL.
Virginia was the proud mother of three children and their spouses. She is survived by son Ron Cline (Kathy )daughter-in-law Jill Cline, and daughter Laura Cline Pitt; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Pitt Lombardo, Callie Cline, William R. Cline; 2 great grand children Jamerica Pitt and Alexander Fox Lombardo.
She was preceded in death by her son, William A. Cline, son-in-law Samuel Pitt, and grandson Derek Cline.
