86, of Largo, FL, peacefully passed away April 9th at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park, FL. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 24, 1924 to parents Howard and Florence Suess and lived in Largo for over 30 years.
Ruth worked for TLC Salon at Pinecrest Place in Largo for over 10 years. She tirelessly worked to raise her three children after WW II and Korean War while her husband pursued a career as a naval officer deployed shipboard. She was a lifetime member of the Laurel Chapter #075, O.E.S., Laurel, MD.
Survived by her husband and love of her life for 68 years, Earl James “Jimmy” Parkinson; son, Dennis H. Parkinson of Baltimore, MD (and his wife Michele), daughters, Suzanne Parkinson, Clearwater, FL and Carol Brueggeman (and husband Paul) Largo; grandchildren, Dennis A. Parkinson of Crofton, MD, Jeffrey Brueggeman and Laura Brueggeman Seminole, FL; brothers, Bernard Suess , Perkasie, PA and William Suess,f Maple Shade, NJ. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marion Webster, Perkasie, PA, brothers, Howard Suess of Elmer, NJ and Robert Suess of Delran, NJ.
